World’s Greatest Golf Courses: Carnoustie
Carnoustie Golf Links, one of the most scenic–and one of the most difficult–courses in the world, sits near the eastern shore of the Scottish Highlands.
The area has enticed golfers since around 1527 and the current course was constructed in 1850. Since then, “Car-nasty,” as it is sometimes referred to, has hosted dozens of major tournaments, including the 2007 British Open.
The 487-yard, par 4 18th hole, pictured in the video below, is known for its huge, deep bunkers approaching the green.
