Karlsson Wins the Germany’s Mercedes Benz Championship

Sweden’s Robert Karlsson bested Italy’s Francesco Molinari by two strokes on Sunday to win the European Tour’s Mercedes Benz Championship, played in Cologne, Germany. This is the eighth European Tour win for Karlsson and his first victory in more than two years. That should give him a little momentum going into this week’s Ryder Cup competition.
Fellow Ryder Cup team member, Miguel Angel Jimenz finished third.

US Open 2008 – Day Two

Round two of the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines did not disappoint. Kevin Streelman and Justin Hicks learned that carding two good consecutive rounds in the US Open is not an easy feat. They both carded a +6 for the day, leaving them at +3 for the tournament and well behind the leader, Australian Stuart Appleby (pictured above). Appleby grabbed sole possession of the lead with a birdie on 18.
