This is one of those stories you just have to love. And for all of us who are still waiting for our first hole-in-one, it’s inspiration, of some kind.
On January 10, Leo Fiyalko was out golfing with his buddies at Cove Cay Country Club in Clearwater, Florida. Mind you, Fiyalko is 92 years old and has macular degeneration that has left him with very limited eyesight. He can, however, still hit the ball. Many years ago, I met a guy who would become one my golf buddies, (and to whom I would introduce his future wife, but that’s another story).
I met Bob at Westview golf club, during the “11:00 a.m.” club. So informally named for a bunch of guys who would regularly meet
