yes there is a definite list, depends on your area, but for the most part in the south the options are usually bermuda, zoysia, bentgrass(not well adapted to the south but can be grown), seashore paspalum, and overseeded ryegrass(winter time in south). North is bluegrass, bentgrass, fescue, and some zoysia in the midwest area(i.e. Missouri)

Here's the problem with those presumably golf purist commenting here. This is the only sport where Americans (again presumably they are) agree with non-Americans such as Norman and Sabitini and their envy of TW. If this were any other venue Americans would take issue with these guys and their comments.

TW is the best! Get better if you want to take that away from him.

Hello,
Golf was has never been my sport until my wife bought me a set of golf clubs this past Christmas. I have been watching videos from this websites and have been practicing 2-3 times a week. I have improved dramatically from shooting 130 of par 70 to shooting low 90s of par 70. I plan on taking some lessons in the near future but for now your free site has been a God sent. I have been giving a couple of my friends a run for their money and they were surprise of of how much of an improvement I have gotten. Thank you for making the sport of Golf fun and exciting for me.

Marriot Golf Courses are among the few that are truely making the effort to go green. Now they just need to switch over their gas powered golf carts over to the new Solar Golf Carts. If interested please contact:
