Dara Torres Has Fun Talking Golf
Forty-one-year-old, five-time Olympian Dara Torres is one of the top stories to come out of the Beijing Olympic Games. Win or lose, the fact that she’s able to hold her own against swimmers half her age has inspired a generation. The video below finds Torres in a less serious mood, talking to pro golfers, other professional athletes, and even Donald Trump about golf. Take a look:

Tiger Woods: the Evolution of a Champion
I came across this video about Tiger Woods while looking for something else on YouTube this morning. I’d seen clips of his golf skills as a child, but never all together like this. This video shows his development from age 2 to 20. It’s amazing that his golf swing at around age 4 looks very very similar to his swing today. Yes, the concentration is there, but it’s also good to see that he was just a kid, too. Take a look:
Feeling Good, Warming Up
This week the b5media Sports Channel is talking about “feeling good.” To me, that could be anything about playing golf this time of year, when the air is cool and dry (at least in Ohio) and the courses are lush and green. However, warming up before you play golf is a great way to make sure that you “feel good” through all 18 holes. Below are a few tips to getting your body ready to play golf:
Nike’s New Tiger Woods Ad: “Never”
Nike debuted its latest ad featuring Tiger Woods this week at the US Open. The spot, titled “Never,” shows scenes of Woods as a boy, young man, and adult, with a voiceover by his father, Earl. It’s especially poignant that the spot played yesterday on Father’s Day since Earl Woods passed away two years ago of cancer. Take a look:

Tiger Jam Golf Clinic
Although Tiger Woods is out until the US Open, he’s been keeping busy. One of his recent appearances was in Las Vegas for a golf clinic to benefit his Tiger Woods Foundation. He was on crutches at the time, but fellow PGA pro (and winner of the 2007 Bob Hope Classic) helped him out with the demonstration. The interaction between the two golfers is fun to listen to and there is more than one nugget of golf wisdom thrown about.
