April Golf Shows
Yes, golf season is approaching and golf show season is winding down, but there are still a few interesting shows in April, on both sides of the Atlantic. Here’s what’s going on:
- New York International Golf Show, April 4-6, 2008. This three-day show at the Jacob Javits Center features golf clubs, golf balls, golf apparel, golf shoes, and golf training aids for sale to the general public. The show will also have golf courses and golf travel exhibits for patrons to explore and two, huge driving ranges, four golf simulators, and two putting challenges for prizes. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. The show is open Friday from noon to 10pm, Saturday from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
- Mt. Clemens (MI) Spring Golf Show, April 4-6, 2008. This show features all things golf-related, including 1000s of items of golf gear and apparel and 100s of golf resort vendors. The show is open Friday from noon to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 9pm, and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
- Scottish Golf Show, Edinburgh, April 4-6, 2008. Located at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, this show features the usual vendors as well as a golf simulator, golf trick shot exhibitions, a kids golf area, and indoor putting green, and lots more. Admission is £12. Children under 16 are free. The show is open Friday and Saturday from 930am to 6pm and on Sunday from 930am to 5pm.
- London Golf Show, April 25-27, 2008. This huge show is the largest golf show in the UK. Held at the ExCel Centre at Royal Victoria Dock, the event draws a crowd of more than 40,000 patrons each year. Attractions include exhibitors, golf equipment testing areas, food and beverage vendors, and golf celebrities. The show is open Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
