Wie to Play in Legends Reno Tahoe Open

Michelle Wie may be having trouble over at the LPGA Tour. She was disqualified in last week’s State Farm Classic and without a top-three finish in August’s CN Canadian Women’s Open, she is likely heading back to qualifying school. However, none of that is stopping the 18-year-old from testing her skills against the gentlemen of the PGA Tour–again.
Wie has secured a sponsor’s exemption to for the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open in Reno, beginning July 31. That’s the same week as the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, where most of the top players will be competing. This is the 8th time that Wie has competed against in a PGA event. She has yet to make the cut.

In all honesty many of the pro men who play all the time with no off the course issues don’t get exemptions into this tourney, it’s a shame that golf a so called respectable sport stoops the the lowest of levels and standards to appeal and draw the attention of those who may not watch it yet, I think all advertising is crazy businesses will do anything for money, even if it means allowing a non proven to compete against men, I love michelle wie don’t get me wrong I think she is a great player but should she have gotten an exemption to play at Reno I don’t think so, I think she should conquer womans golf first rather than trying to make a mark in history, woman always shoot for men however men can not shoot for woman in any sport in other words men have nothing to gain by playing against woman in sports however woman and business have a ton to gain by a woman winning against a man in whatever the sport, for this Un equitable reason i do not think woman should be allowed to compete against men, can a man go into the wnba and compete No, can a man go play womans soft ball No can a man play in an LPGA tourney No, so why allow woman to play against men it makes no sense
