Pebble Hosts the AT&T Pro Am

The golfers of the PGA descend on Northern California’s Pebble Beach Resort for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am event. The tournament, which starts today and concludes on Sunday, uses all three of the Pebble Beach courses.
Pros playing this week include defending champ and two-time winner, Phil Mickelson; last week’s winner, J B Holmes; and recent winners, Daniel Chopra and D J Trahan.
Celebrities participating in the event include actors Don Cheadle and Kevin Costner, football’s Lynn Swann and Dan Marino, singer Huey Lewis, and talk show host Carson Daly.
The AT&T National Pro Am, originally the Bing Crosby National Pro Am, began in 1937. A variety of charities benefit from the proceeds of the event. To date, the tournament has raised over $66 million for charity.
Tiger Woods is sitting this week out.
