World Golf Hall of Fame

January 8, 2008 by Sandy Mitchell

If you find yourself in Northern Florida this winter, be sure to make time to visit the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine. The two-story museum features permanent exhibits about golf’s greatest stars and course designers as well as information on the history of the game, equipment and dress, and course management.

The World Golf Hall of Fame was originally located in Pinehurst, North Carolina and moved to its present spot in 1998, when it grew to encompass the LPGA Hall of Fame and to include international players. In addition to the galleries, the facility also includes a full-service restaurant and an IMAX theater.

If you can’t make it to St. Augustine, you can take a virtual tour on the museum’s Web site.
