Greg Norman and Chris Evert to Wed

Who says love is just for the young? Not two-time British Open champ Greg Norman and Chris Evert, winner of 18 Grand Slam singles titles in tennis. The pair, both 52, announed their engagement Sunday in South Africa, where Norman was competing in the South African Open. No date has been set.

Both parties have been married before. Evert was married to World Cup and Olympic skiier, Andy Mill and to tennis champion, John Lloyd. Norman divorced his wife of 26 years, Laura Andrassy, in September.

It’s funny, I’ve never seen anyone write about these two without mentioning their ages…and how surprising it is that they’re having this romance in their 50s. I’m thinking that it wouldn’t be considered so odd if Greg norman was marrying a 35 year old …or even younger, be everyone seems really surprised that he’s marrying a woman his age. I guess it IS rare for a man in his 50s to marry a woman in her 50s. And I think that’s because most women in their 50s absolutely don’t want to get married again.

Anyway, a bit off topic, but interesting. :)

Good for the shark, he found the most sexy lady over forty in sports “Chrissy on clay” and snapped her up. I don’t blame greg for making a move on Chrissie she is still hot at her age!!!
Chris seems to like blond guys ala John Lloyd. Norman just has a gazillion dollars and will probably make Evert real happy!!!!
