Back from Brain Surgery, Demsey Rejoins the PGA

December 5, 2007 by Sandy Mitchell

Former NCAA champion, Todd Demsey, closed the sixth round of Q-school with an 8-under 64 to grab one of the 26 full-exempt cards for next year’s PGA Tour.

Demsey, a former amateur teammate of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, was dignosed with a brain tumor in 2002 that resulted in two surgeries and months of rehabilitation. His last, and only, year on the PGA Tour was in 1997, where he made the cut in 9 or 27 events.

Todd Demsey was the 1993 NCAA Champion while at Arizona State.
