Let The Season Begin

It’s official now. The 2007 PGA season began today at Kapalua for the Mercedes Benz Championship. Probably the most interesting thing to note (Woods/Mickelson missing notwithstanding) is that the Golf Channel is broadcasting all four rounds. The only time you see all four rounds broadcast is typically for the majors, but the Golf Channel is pulling out all the stops for their first year as a PGA partner.
And speaking of the the Golf Channel. Last night they debuted their new set and a new Golf Central co-host (Inga?), but I forget her name already. The new set looks rather boring and something you’d see on a public television show. And the new co-host is rather, interesting. It’s really too early to make an accurate judgement, but I will say she has that sports broadcaster type of delivery and for my money, it doesn’t really fit golf. The season is just starting so we’ll see how it goes the rest of the year. BTW, is she replacing Megan West?
