Final Eight Set for ADT Championship

November 18, 2006 by admin

The final eight have been set for the LGPA’s ADT Championship at Trump National and it looks like it has the potential to be a real shootout. Saturday’s round though had its excitement as both Gulbis and Creamer had to make difficult putts coming in to ensure their spot for Sunday.

What’s most exciting (in my opinion) about this format is that the scores will be reset on Sunday and all the players are starting even. Of course if your pulling for Ching or Granada, this might seem a bit unfair because they’re 5 shots up on the last player in the field of 8. But quite frankly, this format is about generating excitement and attracting television viewers on a Sunday during the NFL season.

It’s really difficult to pick winners in golf, but right now it appears that Karrie Webb is swinging the most consistent and I wouldn’t be surprised if she won the top prize of $1 million.
