Love III Tied for Lead
October 7, 2006 by admin

Another missing-in-action LPGA golfer, Davis Love III, is tied for the lead at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro heading into Sunday’s final round. To say this year has been a disappointment for Love III, would be a gross understatement, by his own admission. Missing the Ryder Cup on points, and then being left out as a Captain’s pick was the icing on the cake for Love III.
He says he did some soul-searching after missing the Ryder Cup team, and had to rededicate himself to the game. There’s no doubt Davis has game, but for reasons known only to him, he’s actually been in a funk for the last few years as far as wins go. He’s always hot early in the year during the Florida swing and has even dominated the Heritage Classic at one point, but even the early swing hasn’t done much for him.
Here’s hoping Davis can get that win and start thinking about winning major championships again.
