Kelly Tilghman Makes History

The Golf Channel announced this week that Kelly Tilghman will be the play-by-play announcer for all the upcoming GolfChannel PGA telecasts in 2007. Tilghman will be the first woman ever to hold that position, and kudos to Kelly for the promotion! I’ve said here before that Kann and Tilghman are the A-Team members at the Golf Channel and this just confirms that the executive staff the Golf Channel feel the same way.
It’s going to be an interesting paring having both Tilghman and Faldo in the booth, but I can guarantee that Tilghman will be nobody’s patsy and I have to believe Faldo will test Tilghman with his wit right off the bat. From reading the Golf Channel’s announcement, it doesn’t appear that Laura Baugh will not have any air time next year. That’s too bad because she brought that edge to her views and like Tilghman, wasn’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with her male counterparts.
The other suprise is that Rocco Mediate will be an on-course reporter for certain events. I’ve always liked when Mediate was interviewed because he seemed to be a natural in front of the camera.

Is she the hottest smoker ever, or what?
She’s obviously a rabid racist. To form one’s mouth to speak such a savage thought one has to be inclined to think that such a act is just for American born Africans. I rebuke her comment and feel that she should of been fired. Period.
Seems that the only ones screaming racism are those who gain profits from screaming racism. The liberal media and Al Sharpton seem to enjoy stirring up hatred between Americans. If you folks don’t like it hear leave. I’ll donate to your one way ticket out.
Kelly, You and the ladies on the Golf Channel ROCK!! Keep up the fine work. I live for your broadcasts.
A fan.
