Davis Love Back In Winner’s Circle
October 9, 2006 by admin

Davis Love III won the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro on Sunday and in the process, broke a three-year winless slump. Love’s last win came at the 2003 International outside of Denver and at the time, he was 3rd in the World Rankings. Little did he know he was in for a long slump (by his standards) and everything came to a head when we didn’t make the Ryder Cup team this year.
It’s good to see him win again and hopefully he can return to form and be a factor on the 2008 Ryder Cup team because he certainly brings leadership, attitude, and competitiveness to the team. I also think now more than ever, there are 50-60 guys that are literally capable of winning each week and that might have caught Love by surprise. The days of having 10 guys dominate the wins are long gone, and the proof came in the form of this year’s Ryder Cup team.
