She’s Back…

Yup, we’re talking about Michelle Wie once again playing against the men. This time she’s accepted an invitation to play the Omega European Masters in France against Europe’s best. I was initially all for Michelle taking her shots against the men because I truly thought she could hold her own (silly me), but it’s pretty evident that she’s a girl playing a man’s game.
Wie has loads of talent and even more potential, but the Wie vs. The Men thing is old now and the novelty has worn off for sure. What’s next? Watch Michelle juggle three golf balls with one hand while hitting a bunker shot with the other? If she doesn’t be careful, she’ll end up as a sideshow for all the golf tours scattered around the globe and she will have lost her respect and dignity along the way.

On another note, Thomas Bjorn apologized for his comments about Ian Woosnam that he made yesterday about not making the European Ryder Cup team. Of course, being fined by the European Tour’s executive director might have made it a little easier.
