Tiger Tied for Lead at PGA Championship
Tiger Woods is tied for the lead with Luke Donald heading into the final round at the PGA Championship. As everyone who’s even remotely interested in golf knows, Tiger is 11-0 when leading or holding a share of the lead going into a final round of a major championship. That’s an incredible record to say the least. Can he do it yet again? It’s hard to say, but the longer he does it, the more impressive it is.
However, this championship is far from over and Woods could (though not likely) have an average day tomorrow and get passed by more than a handful of players because the course is still playing very slow and the players are shooting darts at a defenseless course.
Anyone within 5 shots of the lead has a legitimate chance tomorrow and it could be a shootout that’s normally seen at 2nd-tier courses (like Las Vegas Country Club) where the winning score is around 20-under most years. Odds are that someone will shoot 64 and Woods and Donald will have to shoot no worse than 68 just to keep a cushion. Should be a great final round.
