Tiger Still Hot; Inkster Leads Women’s British Open
August 4, 2006 by admin
Tiger Woods is still riding his wave of confidence and is tied for the lead part-way through the second round of the Buick Open in Blanc, Michigan. Woods was 7-under through 15 holes when play was suspended. This is one of Tiger’s favorite stops on the tour, so look for him to be near the final group on Sunday.
Julie Inster holds a three-shot lead heading into the third round of the Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes in England. Michelle Wie incurred a two-shot penalty for brushing some moss during her backswing on the 14th hole and is now tied for 36th. Yet another mental mistake by Wie as she desparately tries to win her first LPGA tournament.
