Tiger Woods is the overwhelming favorite to win his 5th Masters, but he has two things working against him.  One, his father is gravely ill with prostrate cancer and while Woods is the master at focus and blocking out external distractions, this is quite different.  Tiger made it clear that he would withdraw from any tournament if he feels his Father needs him at his side.

I watched a replay of the Kraft Nabisco Championship again and it’s confirmed, the LPGA is in great hands for the next 20 years or so. Michelle Wie has been criticized unfairly I believe in the last day or so because some experts felt she should have putted her eagle attempt on the 72nd hole instead of chipping it. Lorena Ochoa faltered again coming down the stretch in an LPGA tournament, however this time it was the women’s first major of the year, the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Karrie Webb, the Australian phenom that battled Annika Sorenstam in the late 90s, was up to the challenge and eagled the 72nd hole to force a playoff with Ochoa. Unfortunately, Ochoa couldn’t make the biride putts that would have won the tournament outright and that left the door open for Webb to win the title.
